The Team

Soshana Wijeratne

Director

“My life changed when I became a carer in 2006. As the years went by, I found it difficult to do simple things I had taken for granted. I needed PAs to support me, as well as my son Kayden, to live the best possible lives. My father had Alzheimer’s and now my mother is unwell too needing constant supervision. I started Care At My Home to support my son, my mother to live the best lives that they can from home. Truly person centred care, as opposed to that of convenience is what we stand for.”

For the last 17 years, Soshana has first hand experience in managing care for her son and now for her mother too. She aims to provide a service that is person cantered by a team of Personal Assistants that feel valued. Before become a carer, Soshana worked in external affairs and marketing. She is a strong strategic thinker who is empathetic to the needs of others. Her motto in life is “suffering is optional.”
